Role Overview

Assembly and Production Duties

• Select dry assembly kits to match coils and order requirements.
• Finish coils, obtain steel, and stack units according to order specifications.
• Weld units using established equipment and processes.
• Complete dry assembly hook-up and verify leads, lugs, terminals, gapping, and dry tests as specified.
• Place core and coil assemblies in enclosures and send them to varnish or potting processes when required.
• Set up and test resin equipment according to SPI procedures.
• Add Magfill and resin according to order specifications and keep potted enclosures clean.
• Select final assembly kits and complete final assembly, including terminals, connections, labels, nameplates, and accessories.
• Receive units that have passed quality assurance testing.
• Package finished units with required manuals and labels and transfer them to shipping.

Qualifications

• High school or Grade 12 education.
• Education in manufacturing would be an asset.
• Education in electrical principles would be an asset.

Workplace

• The role is based at the Walkerton manufacturing location and involves in-person manufacturing work.
