Area Manager

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction, engineering, and project activities within the assigned area.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams to meet project milestones.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Review construction plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Communicate with client representatives, project management teams, and stakeholders.
• Improve productivity while maintaining project deliverables.
• Support reporting, forecasting, and performance measurement.
• Ensure compliance with budgets, cost controls, and contractual obligations.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 10–15 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Process Plant projects.
• Demonstrated experience working for or alongside major EPC contractors.
• Proven record managing large-scale EPC projects from execution through commissioning.
• Strong understanding of construction management, project controls, and HSE regulations.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Middle East experience is highly desirable.
