Role overview
The Architect Design Engineer role is with Parsons.
Key responsibilities
- Review CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by the Design Builder.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, project requirements, and client requirements.
- Review construction specifications and detailed requisitions for equipment and materials; interface with suppliers as required.
- Coordinate work with engineering and construction units at the project site.
- Review and approve detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others.
- Provide technical guidance to architectural designers and CAD operators working on the project.
Essential qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to administer multiple activities, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
Desired skills and experience
- Proficiency in CAD and other design and presentation software used in architecture and engineering is desired.
- Architect registration is desirable.
- Rail, metro, or transit experience in stations or maintenance facilities is desirable.
