Arbitration Associate - Dubai

We are seeking a talented Arbitration Associate with approximately 3–5 years' post-qualification experience to join a growing disputes practice in Dubai.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a lawyer who has developed strong experience in international arbitration and is particularly skilled in the preparation of high-quality written work product.

We are looking for an individual who has taken a substantive role in drafting and developing arbitration submissions, rather than primarily supporting oral advocacy led by senior counsel.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with 3–5 years' PQE from a leading international, regional, or specialist disputes practice.
  • Demonstrable experience in international arbitration, including commercial and/or investment treaty disputes.
  • Excellent drafting ability, with a track record of preparing and developing:
  • Requests for Arbitration and Answers;
  • Statements of Claim and Defence;
  • Witness statements and expert-related submissions;
  • Jurisdictional and procedural applications;
  • Post-hearing briefs and other substantive written submissions.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesise complex factual and legal issues into clear, persuasive written arguments.
  • Experience managing document-intensive matters and coordinating with clients, experts, and witnesses.
  • Outstanding academic credentials and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Additional languages are advantageous.

What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will be someone who takes ownership of written advocacy and enjoys the intellectual rigour of developing legal arguments and case strategy.

We are particularly interested in candidates whose experience reflects genuine responsibility for drafting and shaping substantive submissions, rather than a role focused predominantly on hearing support or assisting lead advocates.

The Opportunity

The role offers exposure to high-value, cross-border disputes and the opportunity to work closely with experienced arbitration practitioners on complex matters across a range of sectors.

The successful candidate will play a meaningful role in case development, strategy, and the preparation of sophisticated written advocacy before leading arbitral institutions.

Dubai-based applicants and those seeking relocation to the UAE are encouraged to apply.
