Overview

  • The Approved Person for Lifting Operations (APLO) is entrusted with the following key

responsibilities

  • Supervising Lifting Operations: Ensuring all lifting activities on site are carried out safely
  • and in accordance with relevant industry standards, client requirements, and company
  • procedures.
  • Pre-Operation Checks: Overseeing the planning of lifting operations, including risk
  • assessments, method statements, and lifting plans.
  • Training and Supervision: Ensuring that personnel involved in lifting activities are
  • adequately trained and competent for their tasks.
  • Supervising the work crew during
  • lifting operations to ensure safety.
  • Client Approval: Ensuring that lifting operations are approved by the client for ongoing
  • or long-term projects (temporary approvals are not valid for this allowance).
  • Compliance: Ensuring all lifting operations comply with local regulations and industry’s
  • best practices and making sure that lifting equipment is inspected and certified as per
  • legal requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records and reports on lifting
  • operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and client specifications
