Job Summary

The Applications Specialist – Systems Operations plays a key role in supporting Mowasalat’s vision of delivering agile, safe, and sustainable transport solutions by ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of enterprise applications.

The role is responsible for supporting day‑to‑day application operations, resolving incidents, monitoring system performance, and coordinating with business users, IT teams, and external vendors.

It contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, system integration, and efficient service delivery while ensuring compliance with operational standards and maintaining high levels of system reliability and data confidentiality.

Application Support & Maintenance

  • Provide technical support for enterprise applications, resolving issues and ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date application documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications.

Application Development & Testing

  • Assist in designing, developing, testing, and implementing software solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop test cases to ensure solution effectiveness.

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

  • Engage stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
  • Develop business cases, proposals, and technical documentation to support system enhancements and implementations.

System Integration & Configuration

  • Integrate applications with existing systems to ensure seamless data exchange and compatibility.
  • Configure applications to meet business needs and optimize performance and user experience.

User Training & Documentation

  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance user adoption and effective utilization of systems.
  • Maintain user documentation such as guides, manuals, and FAQs.

Governance, Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor system performance and support incident resolution and operational improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with operational processes, standards, and data confidentiality requirements.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience in enterprise application support or systems operations.

Certifications & Training (Preferred)

  • Certified Associate in Software Engineering (CASE) or equivalent
  • Programming certifications (e.g., Java, Python)
  • Agile certification (e.g., Scrum Master)

  • Enterprise application support and systems operations
