About This Role
Overview
We’re looking for experienced APIGEE & WSO2 Developers to join a dynamic banking technology team.
This role focuses on building and managing secure, scalable API integrations across cloud and on-prem environments.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting API-led integrations, ensuring high performance, security, and compliance with banking standards.
API Development & Management
- Design and implement API proxies, policies, and flows using Apigee / WSO2
- Develop and manage API products, developer portals, and lifecycle
- Build RESTful services using Java frameworks
- Implement versioning, rate limiting, and access control
Integration & Architecture
- Integrate APIs with backend systems, databases, and third-party platforms
- Work with ESB, Identity & Access Management, and event-driven architectures
- Deliver hybrid integrations across on-prem and Azure cloud
Security & Compliance
- Implement OAuth2, JWT, API Keys, Mutual TLS
- Ensure compliance with banking and security standards (e.g., PCI)
DevOps & Cloud
- Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)
- Work with Docker and (optionally) Kubernetes
- Use Terraform or similar tools for infrastructure automation
Performance & Optimization
- Monitor API usage, troubleshoot latency, and optimize performance
- Improve database queries (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
Collaboration & Governance
- Work with architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and workshops
- Maintain API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years experience in API development & system integration
- Strong hands-on experience with:
• Apigee & WSO2 API Manager
- API security (OAuth2, JWT, API Gateway policies)
• Java, REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger
- Experience with Azure cloud & cloud-native solutions
- CI/CD, Git, DevOps practices
- Docker (Kubernetes is a plus)
- Strong database skills (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Banking/financial services experience preferred
