Qualifications

  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with a minimum of one year of clinical/hospital experience Preferred. Applicant must be proficient in speaking and reading English. Computer skills required. Must be self-directed and able to make independent decisions. Experience working in a surgical area preferred. Experience with direct patient care, CNA or PCA preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Must be able to work collaboratively with others in a team setting. Have strong independent problem solving skills to respond to unpredictable situations, able to multitask, and be flexible with changes in the work flow. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must Possess working skills and knowledge of Microsoft computer systems. Must be able to concentrate, pay attention to detail and remain focused for extended periods during the work shift. Requires adequate use of both hands and the ability to lift over 20 lbs., walk long distances and kneel/bend occasionally along with long periods of standing. BLS Certified or the ability to be obtained within six months of hire.
