What You Will Do

  • Work in a team environment to achieve the following:
  • Monitor crude oil feedstock and chemical and refining project support
  • Analytical property testing of crude oil, distillates, and crude oil products
  • Physical distillations of various kinds
  • Execute simple and complex test methods
  • Data review, data entry, report writing and data presentation
  • Assisting or leading investigations, innovation initiatives, and operation optimization
  • Drafting and/or executing design of experiments
  • Instrument maintenance and other routine laboratory tasks
  • Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Chemical or similar laboratory work experience
  • Exposure to chemistry terminology - via formal education or self-taught
  • Experience performing experiments or testing in a laboratory setting or similar setting
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology or other natural science
  • Chromatography experience
  • Experience with Chemometrics / multivariant analysis, data modeling experience and online analyzers
  • XRD operation spectral interpretation
