The Business Systems Analyst is based in Toronto and reports to the Manager, Information Technology.
The role documents business requirements and designs, develops, and supports business applications aligned with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to identify, document, manage, validate, and obtain approval for business requirements and specifications.
- Partner with business users to find solutions, set expectations, and explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Design, configure, and deploy custom applications and automated workflows.
- Support Dynamics CRM and CRPM applications and integrations, including data synchronization, error resolution, data mapping, and process optimization.
- Provide ongoing application support, troubleshooting, and guidance.
- Design and deploy accurate, actionable Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Maintain technical documentation, training guides, FAQs, system architecture, change records, and UAT documentation.
- Support change management, user adoption, corporate data quality, ad hoc reporting, and data extracts.
Ideal profile
- 3–8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Functional Consultant, Power Platform Consultant, or in a similar role.
- Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Dynamics 365/Dynamics 365 Sales, model-driven Power Apps, Microsoft Dataverse, Power Automate, Dataverse security, and solution/application lifecycle management.
- Understanding of integrations, APIs, connectors, relational databases, and data mapping.
- Experience with requirements gathering, solution design, business-process analysis, functional specifications, testing, and UAT.
- Working knowledge of Power BI and reporting concepts, plus experience with Agile and project management.
- Ability to work independently with strong organization, priority management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Dynamics 365 or Power Platform certification is an asset.
- Business Central, CRPM or similar investment-management systems, and Copilot Studio experience are assets.
- Bilingual English/French is an asset.
