Aircraft Leasing Vice President Tax

Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead tax input across aircraft leasing and financing transactions, including sales, purchases, purchase leasebacks, and operating leases
• Provide commercial tax guidance to deal teams and senior stakeholders throughout transaction lifecycles
• Review and negotiate tax-related provisions within legal documentation and customer agreements
• Ensure tax compliance across transaction jurisdictions, including interpretation of treaty provisions and relevant legislation
• Manage relationships with external tax and legal advisors globally
• Support jurisdictional tax matters, audits, and ongoing compliance obligations
• Assist with Irish and/or UAE tax return oversight and reporting requirements
• Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations to senior management
• Participate in relevant aviation leasing industry committees and working groups where appropriate

Requirements

• Qualified tax professional with at least 10 years’ experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience operating within a deal-focused or transaction environment
• Strong understanding of aircraft leasing structures and international tax frameworks
• Aviation industry experience preferred
• Experience reviewing and negotiating transaction documentation
• Commercially minded with the ability to assess tax risk pragmatically
• Experience managing external advisors and cross-functional deal teams
