Job Summary
The Air Conditioning Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air conditioning and cooling systems to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Replace defective components and ensure proper system performance.
- Monitor refrigerant levels and handle refrigerants safely in accordance with regulations.
- Test and calibrate HVAC equipment and controls.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns promptly.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other maintenance team members as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field.
- Previous experience in air conditioning maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and refrigeration principles.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic communication skills in English.
