AI Strategy & Solution Architect

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, shape deals and propositions, drive architectural decisions, create roadmaps, and produce design artifacts.
• Support client journeys to Microsoft Azure through cloud architecture patterns and migration strategies.
• Develop solution designs, estimates, pricing, and contractual details for client proposals.
• Participate in deal reviews, oral presentations, client presentations, negotiations, and executive stakeholder discussions.
• Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks while ensuring solutions are deliverable and commercially viable.
• Coach technical teams and contribute to the growth of Avanade’s AI and Data community.

Technical skills and experience

• Use Azure AI Services including Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Azure Bot Services.
• Apply machine learning, large language models, Generative AI, foundation models, prompt engineering, and model fine-tuning concepts.
• Design and implement Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions, including AI agents, multi-agent systems, autonomous workflows, and copilots.
• Work with RAG architectures, vector databases, semantic search, knowledge grounding, and enterprise AI patterns.
• Use Azure AI Foundry for AI development, evaluation, orchestration, governance, and deployment of enterprise AI solutions.
• Apply Python and integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Azure data platforms.

Preferred experience

• Knowledge of equivalent AI capabilities within AWS and GCP is highly regarded.
• Experience with .NET, C#, R, or other modern development frameworks is beneficial.
• Experience with complex technical sales engagements and large enterprise customers is preferred.
• Australian Citizenship is preferred, and Australian Permanent Residents are also encouraged to apply.
