  • Develop and maintain backend Python services for intelligent automation workflows.
  • Build enterprise data pipelines for financial and regulatory documents, with quality checks and monitoring.
  • Train and optimize models on banking rules, compliance standards, and regulatory datasets.
  • Build intelligent routing for automated approvals and human escalation of complex cases.
  • Influence architecture, delivery models, and technology-stack decisions with engineering leadership.
  • Embed regulatory considerations into product features.

What the employer is looking for

  • 3–5+ years of AI/ML engineering experience and a record of deploying AI at scale.
  • Strong backend Python and expertise with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline tools such as Airflow, Spark, or Kafka and orchestration frameworks such as n8n or LangGraph.
  • Enterprise application background such as chatbots, workflow automation, RAG pipelines, or intelligent document processing.
  • Understanding of regulated industries such as financial services or insurance and compliance-aligned model design.
  • Comfort influencing technical direction in a lean team and adapting to an evolving startup-like technology stack.

Workplace

  • The position is fully remote and requires a comfortable home office.
  • Candidates must be based in regions aligned with Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones.

Compensation

  • Annual salary range is CAD 70,000–200,000, with final compensation based on qualifications, expertise, experience, and role scope.

Schedule

  • Full-time position requiring at least 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Benefits

  • Flexible working hours in a remote environment.
  • Medical and dental insurance for T4 employees.
  • Professional development fund and soft-skill development courses.
  • 15 days of paid time off annually.
  • Dedicated to one project at a time and access to projects using leading technology.

Application timeline

  • Applications accepted until October 4, 2026; feedback expected by October 12, 2026.
