• The opportunity
• Are you an AI engineer with a passion for data, innovation, and driving real-world impact?
• We’re looking for a skilled and motivated AI Engineer to join our data team in Dubai.
• In this role, you’ll work on impactful projects in energy and sustainability, applying advanced machine learning techniques, AI tools, and large language models (LLMs) to solve complex, real-world challenges and help shape the future of intelligent solutions.
• What exactly will you do?
• Collaborate with our team to analyse and interpret data from diverse sources, utilizing advanced SQL and data extraction techniques to pull insights from sensors, APIs, and customer platforms.
• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that predict trends and improve efficiency, capable of handling both real-time processing and large-scale batch inference tasks.
• Rapidly conceptualize and build autonomous AI agents, integrating them into production environments to automate complex workflows and decision-making processes.
• Take a resourceful approach to innovation; you will frequently whip up quick prototypes and deploy proof-of-concept solutions rapidly, allowing the team to test hypotheses and iterate fast before full-scale development.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, data science, and MLOps tools, and bring innovative ideas to the team.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, code reviews, and planning meetings; your technical perspective and creativity will help shape our solutions.
• What we’re looking for
• 3 – 5 years of experience working as an AI Engineer or similar role.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience designing and shipping AI/ML solutions across the entire lifecycle; from data ingestion and model development through deployment, APIs, and user-facing interfaces.
• Familiarity with building AI solutions both on the cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.) and on-prem.
• Managing, manipulating, and enriching enterprise data pipelines across relational, graph, and vector stores (e.g., PostgreSQL, Neo4j) and modern ETL frameworks used in AI systems.
• A nuanced understanding of optimizing model outputs, & monitoring model performance across industry-standard benchmarks.
• Proven ability to move fast: you are comfortable building and deploying quick prototypes to demonstrate business value, and you know how to be resourceful when bringing novel ideas to life.
• Excellent communication skills; you can clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A proactive team player with a growth mindset, eager to learn, share knowledge, and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Nice to Have (but not expected)
• Master's Degree in related field.
• Experience connecting AI models with live enterprise data sources.
• Knowledge of time series data or experience working with energy, IoT, or sustainability projects.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or tools like Git, Docker, or APIs.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools (Claude code, Codex, Cursor etc.)
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience building full stack applications that integrate AI capabilities end-to-end.
• Exposure to agnostic AI frameworks or modern developer tools like the Vercel AI SDK for building flexible, provider-independent applications.
