AI Engineer, Data, AI and Analytics

Work arrangement

• The position requires in-person collaboration up to five days a week; this arrangement may change with business requirements.

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Build applications and use LLMs, copilots, agents, and related AI capabilities to address business problems.
• Partner with Data Science, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to incorporate AI into business-facing solutions.
• Support cloud deployments, production operations, application enhancements, monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Maintain architecture, security, and operational standards; contribute to documentation, code reviews, and development practices.
• Mentor developers and participate in Agile planning, estimation, reviews, retrospectives, and stand-ups.

Experience and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; the posting also accepts an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong modern business application and full-stack web development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, JavaScript, or equivalent modern programming languages.
• Cloud solution development experience; Microsoft Azure is preferred.
• Working knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, copilots, and related technologies.
• Familiarity with source control, automated testing, CI/CD, and Agile delivery.
• Experience building business tools and prototypes with Streamlit or similar frameworks, and supporting solutions through their lifecycle.

Additional qualifications

• Docker or Kubernetes experience, Snowflake or modern data platform experience, cloud-hosted production application experience, relevant AI, cloud, or software engineering certifications, and airline or travel industry experience are nice to have.
