The role focuses on financial agricultural commodities trading and contributing to the growth of the physical grains business.

Responsibilities
- Trade financial grains, oilseeds and softs products within RWE’s governance and risk framework.
- Analyse global agricultural commodity markets and identify commercial opportunities.
- Manage hedging positions with physical grains traders and analysts.
- Execute structured trading opportunities for institutional clients and counterparties.
- Develop market relationships, market intelligence and deal flow across grains and softs markets.
- Support AI-enabled workflow improvements.
Required experience and capabilities
- Three to five years of financial or proprietary agricultural commodities trading experience, ideally in grains and softs.
- Demonstrable trading track record with profit and loss and market risk management experience.
- Strong understanding of agricultural commodity markets, trading strategies and structured products.
- Confident use of approved AI tools with sound judgement over their outputs.
- Ability to make informed decisions in fast-moving markets and communicate clearly.
- High integrity, accountability and willingness to challenge ideas constructively.
Advantageous experience
- Experience pricing or structuring complex derivatives is advantageous but not essential.
- Exposure to systematic or quantitative trading models is advantageous but not essential.
