Agile Coach

Purpose

Key Accountability Areas

• Coach squads across multiple business lines on Agile principles, frameworks, and behaviors.
• Coach Tech Leads to facilitate ceremonies and own delivery cadence.
• Build Product Owner capability and effective backlog management.
• Coach Kanban teams on flow, WIP limits, and service-level expectations.
• Assess Agile maturity and improve team effectiveness and delivery performance.
• Onboard new squads to a standard operating model and reduce time-to-productivity.
• Ensure Agile practices satisfy change governance, audit traceability, and regulatory risk controls.
• Establish and monitor DORA and flow metrics in Jira and GitLab.
• Remove organizational and process impediments to delivery.
• Facilitate workshops, retrospectives, and transformation initiatives.
• Support alignment across squads, business lines, and technology initiatives.
• Partner with Chapter Leads on capability development and influence without direct authority.

People Management

• Participate in identifying and recruiting key talent for the department.
• Manage, guide, and assist direct reports in line with policies and procedures.
• Set performance objectives, support team members, evaluate performance, and provide regular feedback.
• Uphold a high-performance working environment and promote organisational values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years in technology delivery, including 3+ years coaching teams at scale.
• Payments, banking, or regulated financial services experience.
• PSM II, ICP-ACC, or SAFe SPC certification is good to have.
