Nintex K2 Developer - BPM & Digital Process Automation (DPA)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain Nintex K2 business process automation solutions.
• Develop and maintain K2 workflows, SmartForms, SmartObjects, business rules, and approval processes.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and workflow designs.
• Automate approvals, notifications, escalations, and exception handling.
• Integrate K2 solutions with enterprise applications, databases, SharePoint, and external systems.
• Build and maintain integrations with REST/SOAP APIs and SQL Server.
• Customize K2 applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript, or other relevant technologies as required.
• Troubleshoot workflow failures and production issues; optimize application performance.
• Support deployment, testing, documentation, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, project managers, and technical teams.
• Ensure solutions satisfy business, security, performance, and scalability requirements.
• Recommend improvements to existing workflows and automation processes.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant professional development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Nintex K2, including K2 Five, K2 Cloud, or K2 blackpearl.
• Strong BPM, workflow development, and digital process automation experience.
• Practical experience with K2 SmartForms, SmartObjects, and workflow design.
• Strong SQL Server and database integration knowledge; experience integrating through REST APIs and/or SOAP web services.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft technologies.
• Working knowledge of C#, .NET, and JavaScript for customization and integration.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; ability to convert stakeholder requirements into technical solutions.

Preferred qualifications

• Enterprise BPM/DPA implementation experience and experience maintaining or migrating legacy K2 applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate or other automation platforms.
• Relevant Nintex/K2 certifications and experience in Agile development environments.
