Administrator - School Systems (Aldar Education)

Role overview

Minimum qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
• At least three years of experience managing education systems.
• Experience managing school information systems such as iSAMS, Engage, or PowerSchool.
• Experience setting up and implementing new software in schools is advantageous.

Knowledge and skills

• Working knowledge of school information systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, take initiative, and solve problems.
• Ability to collaborate across teams, multitask, handle pressure, and plan and implement initiatives proactively.

Systems administration and support

• Administer iSAMS and related educational systems, including for Charter and IB curriculum schools.
• Configure and maintain academic, attendance, pastoral, assessment, and administrative modules.
• Support implementation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of student information systems and enterprise applications.
• Manage user accounts, roles, security groups, access permissions, and compliance with organizational policies and data governance requirements.
• Monitor and maintain system integrity, availability, security, and performance; resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
• Maintain third-party educational applications, including Destiny Follett, and cloud-hosted and on-premises applications as required.

Integrations, data, and reporting

• Support educational technology implementations, system enhancements, integrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Maintain data quality across integrated platforms including iSAMS, Salesforce, MuleSoft, Live Aldar, CPOMS, and other enterprise systems.
• Support AI-driven integrations, APIs, middleware, and data exchange between educational and business systems.
• Support automated reports, centralized dashboards, analytics, and cross-platform reporting solutions.
• Support report card configuration and distribution through Live Aldar in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure and Applications teams on SSO, authentication, and identity management.
• Support data recovery, business continuity, system testing, validation, user acceptance, releases, upgrades, and implementations.

Training and operational duties

• Create and maintain technical documentation, system procedures, configuration records, and operational guidelines.
• Deliver training and support to school staff on system use, data entry, reporting, data security, and best practices.
• Support annual academic year rollover activities to ensure successful transitions and data continuity across schools.
• Support process improvement and automation initiatives that improve efficiency and use of native system functionality.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
