Adjunct Faculty - Welding

• Teach specific classes in the designated discipline.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of NOVA and the VCCS .
• Maintain current competence in the particular discipline or field of specialization.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

• Knowledge and hands on experience with SMAW , GMAW , GTAW processes.
• OXY -Fuel and plasma arc capability
• Machine set up and troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrate welding ability
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of FT (or FT equivalent) welding experience in the industry

• College level teaching experience preferred
• AWS certified welder (present or past)
• Canvas or other LMS experience
