Accounts Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and finance operations; maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including project-wise and company-level reports as needed.
• Manage AP and AR, monitor outstanding customer payments, and follow up on collections.
• Review supplier invoices, payments, and account statements; prepare bank and other account reconciliations.
• Coordinate payroll, leave salary, gratuity, overtime, and other employee-related payments with HR and Accounts teams; review salary and overtime reports before processing.
• Monitor expenses and ensure documentation and approvals; coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, and financial institutions.
• Assist with UAE VAT and tax requirements; monitor cash flow and provide management updates.
• Maintain financial controls and procedural compliance; support budgeting, cost control, and financial decisions.
• Supervise and guide the Accounts team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience; UAE experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices and VAT.
• Good knowledge of AP, AR, bank reconciliation, payroll, financial reporting, and month-end closing.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, communication and coordination skills, and ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
• Accounts Manager or Senior Accountant experience is preferred.
• Experience in construction, MEP, fire and safety, engineering, or contracting is advantageous.

Preferred skills

• Preferred skills include UAE VAT knowledge, payroll and WPS coordination, project accounting, cash-flow management, cost control, supplier and customer account reconciliation, audit coordination, advanced Excel, and accounting software or ERP experience.

Workplace and schedule

• Full-time, in-person position in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
