About This Role
Location: Dubai, UAE
We are looking for an accountant to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities.
The role requires you to establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable,
- General ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and statements in compliance with
- UAE VAT laws and international accounting standards
- Monitor cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting in coordination with the finance manager.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure timely filing of VAT returns and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
- Reconcile inventory accounting with warehouse and sales data.
- Maintain and track fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and stock adjustments.
- Support financial audits and implement internal controls.
- Process employee reimbursements, payroll data, and vendor payments.
- Provide insights to optimize cost control and increase financial efficiency.
- Skill sets/Experience we require:
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Ability to manage large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, ecommerce, or
- recommerce industry.
- knowledge of UAE VAT laws and compliance.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems).
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Pay: AED4,300.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
