Role overview
The role maintains accurate financial records, handles day-to-day accounting activities, prepares reports, and supports the finance function.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable transactions and maintain accounting entries.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other accounting documents.
- Reconcile bank statements and customer and vendor accounts; follow up on outstanding balances.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain financial documentation, support VAT accounting, and coordinate audit information.
- Monitor expenses and authorized transactions, and provide management with accounting reports and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar; good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and basic accounting principles is preferred.
- Attention to detail, organization, time management, independence, deadline management, and good communication skills.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 2,000–2,500 per month.
