The Accounting Manager will work in conjunction with the Regional Controller to undertake and manage the financial and administration affairs of the assigned regions/company in accordance with Corporate Policy.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Prepare salary recovery worksheets and other cost transfer forms and post

Post journal entries, perform bank reconciliations and reconcile required general ledger accounts as required

Assist operations with updates to jobs (i.e. productivity, change orders, cost codes)

Perform month end process related to jobs (i.e. closeouts, profit recognition, unbilled work orders) and update of accounting wip reports

Assist operations with preparation of any ad hoc reports related to job performance

Resolve any vendor payment disputes

Assist with collection of accounts receivable when required

Plan, organize and undertake the period close process including preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

Ensure conformity with internal accounting policies and business processes as well as compliance with established internal controls, including approval requirements with a keen eye toward cost control and accuracy

Support ongoing business planning and quarterly forecasting processes as well as annual strategic planning exercise

Ensure integrity of financial data and systems and adherence to Corporate reporting timelines

Ensure management of general ledger

Participation in annual external audit

Complete and review month-end reconciliations and budget variance analyses

Manage cash flow and other company assets

Provide financial recommendations and ideas when new business initiatives are proposed
