Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Reconcile bank statements and supplier/customer accounts
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments
- Prepare payment requests and ensure supporting documents are complete
- Maintain organized accounting records and filing systems
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and account reconciliations
- Support the preparation of budgets, financial statements, and audit requirements
- Verify the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, banks, and internal departments on accounting related matters
Requirements
- Experience in accounting or related field (implied by responsibilities)
- Knowledge of accounting standards and statutory requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software (implied)
