Job description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant - Payables to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting business operations through sound financial reporting and analysis. The role may also involve coordination with external auditors, banks, and other third parties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process, verify, and record supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure all invoices have proper authorization prior to payment.
• Prepare and process payments (cheques and bank transfers) in line with agreed credit terms.
• Ensure all payments are promptly and accurately recorded in SAP S/4HANA.
• Carry out monthly bank reconciliations to maintain accuracy in financial records.
• Review supplier statements and promptly address and resolve any variances.
• Keep vendor master data accurate and regularly updated in the system.
• Oversee accounts payable, ensuring timely disbursements and effective aging control.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes with proper documentation and compliance.
• Compile quarterly VAT reports and maintain complete records for VAT return submissions.
• Prepare accounts payable reports and support financial audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
• Process employee expense claims and reimbursements.
• Identify and recommend improvements to accounts payable processes and controls.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Finance).
• 2 – 3 years of accounting experience in accounts payable.
• Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA is an added advantage.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
