Overview
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join a growing organization within the IT sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and ensuring effective financial controls across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Monitor customer payments and follow up on collections
- Process supplier payments and maintain accurate accounting records
- Ensure VAT compliance, documentation, and timely filing of returns
- Support corporate tax compliance and related reporting requirements
- Maintain banking transactions, reconciliations, and banking relationships
- Implement and monitor financial controls, governance, and compliance procedures
- Handle general ledger postings and month-end closing activities
- Support import and export accounting transactions and documentation
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with UAE regulations
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support financial planning and reporting requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5–8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience
- Previous experience within the IT industry is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and corporate tax requirements
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage the full accounting cycle
