Accountant cum Inventory Controller

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, journal entries, and bookkeeping.
• Maintain accurate records and enter transactions in Zoho Books.
• Prepare invoices, supplier bills, vouchers, receipts, credit notes, and supporting documentation.
• Perform bank, customer, supplier, and petty cash reconciliations; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, trial balances, and general ledgers.
• Monitor receivables and payables, follow up on overdue payments, and maintain customer and supplier accounts.
• Maintain inventory accounting and accurate stock and cost entries in Zoho Books.
• Generate management reports, assist with closing, follow accounting procedures and VAT requirements, and file records.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Hands-on Zoho Books experience is mandatory.
• Must independently prepare balance sheets, P&L statements, trial balances, bank reconciliations, and month- and year-end accounts.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office; these are listed as candidate qualifications.
• Good English communication; Arabic or Hindi is an added advantage.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Schedule

• Must be willing to work from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Workplace

• Work location is in person at Al Aweer Fruit & Vegetable Market, Dubai.

Compensation

• Pay is up to AED 3,000 per month.
