Accountant - Abu Dhabi

About This Role

The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and previous accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality or restaurant industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and internal records
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budgets to support financial planning
• Process invoices, payments, and expense claims in a timely manner
• Assist with payroll processing and employee-related financial records
• Prepare and submit VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reports
• Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions where needed
• Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role
• Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or food service industry is preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and accounting compliance requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage
• Experience with ERP or restaurant accounting systems
• Knowledge of inventory costing and stock reconciliation in a restaurant environment

Pay: AED4,200.00 - AED7,400.00 per month
