ADEPTS is hiring an Accountant for its Abu Dhabi office to manage accounting assignments for clients across different industries.
The role works closely with accounting, audit, and tax teams.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate client books and supporting documentation; handle general ledger entries, payables, receivables, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules; support UAE VAT compliance and corporate tax workings.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities; coordinate with clients to obtain records, resolve queries, and meet reporting deadlines.
- Assist with audit requirements and identify accounting process improvements.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- ACCA, CA, or CMA qualification, or progress toward one, is an advantage.
- Preferably 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience, including UAE experience; professional services firm experience is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and UAE VAT.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple client assignments.
