Role overview

Accounting and close responsibilities

• Reconcile monthly revenue on the finance closing schedule, link related costs to each job, and present results to the Finance Manager for month-end close.
• Reconcile monthly WIP balances, track milestones, and investigate variances.
• Calculate accruals for unreceived internal costs and cost overruns against authorized purchase orders.
• Prepare and review monthly balance-sheet reconciliations, substantiate accounts, and resolve open reconciling items.
• Prepare and calculate monthly commission payments.
• Verify bank payment requests against supporting documents and process approvals within delegated authorization limits.

Compliance and stakeholder support

• Ensure adherence to IFRS, local GAAP, and J-SOX internal control frameworks.
• Support the SSC Accounting Manager and entity Finance Managers with ad hoc reporting, technical analysis, and audit requirements.
• Coordinate intercompany revenue, cost, and accrual agreement, reconciliation, and booking across Elliott entities.
• Work with Repairs Operations and management to review job status, validate job costs, and resolve operational accounting queries.
• Engage with regional finance leaders to meet reporting schedules and align processes.
• Support the wider SSC team and cover operational duties as needed to maintain business continuity.

Background and qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance.
• Recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Expert proficiency with computerized systems, ERP platforms, and financial software used in accounting and finance operations.
• Advanced Excel capabilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain financial data across cross-functional teams.

Location and schedule

• Full-time, permanent position based on-site at the company's Abu Dhabi office.
