Role overview

Revenue recognition and WIP

• Reconcile monthly revenue on the finance closing schedule, link related costs to each job, and present results to the Finance Manager for month-end close.
• Reconcile monthly WIP balances, track milestones, and investigate variances.
• Calculate accruals for internal costs not received and cost overruns above authorized purchase orders.

Compliance and accounting operations

• Ensure adherence to IFRS, local GAAP, and J-SOX internal control frameworks.
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, substantiate accounts, and resolve open reconciling items.
• Calculate monthly commission payments accurately.
• Verify bank payment requests against supporting documentation and process approvals within delegated authorization limits.
• Assist accounting and finance managers with ad hoc reporting, technical analysis, and audit requirements.

Stakeholder coordination

• Coordinate intercompany revenues, costs, and accruals with counterpart teams across Elliott entities.
• Work with Repairs Operations and Management to review job status, validate job costs, and resolve operational accounting queries.
• Engage finance leadership across EMA to maintain reporting schedules and align processes.
• Support the wider SSC team and cover operational duties as needed for business continuity.

Education and qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance.
• Recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CA, CPA, or equivalent.

Systems and capabilities

• Expert proficiency with computerized systems, ERP platforms, and financial software used in accounting and finance operations.
• Advanced Excel capabilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining financial data across cross-functional teams.

Location and schedule

• Full-time, on-site permanent position based at the employer’s Abu Dhabi office.
