The role maintains accurate financial records and ensures transactions are properly recorded and classified.
Responsibilities
- Record and classify QuickBooks transactions by project, grant, donor, department, and budget line; handle about 100–150 transactions monthly.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare and post accounting and adjusting journal entries.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, collections, and reconciliations.
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and other reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, reports, schedules, and analysis.
- Prepare VAT transaction listings, reconciliations, and schedules; assist with VAT reviews, audits, and refund-related requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end close, including account reviews, provisions, accruals, and adjustments.
- Assist with annual financial statements; coordinate external audits and provide requested supporting documents.
- Maintain organized financial records, monitor accuracy and internal controls, and provide finance support as required.
Experience
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience of 3 years is preferred.
Pay
- AED 6,000–8,000 per month.
