Job Description
- As an Account Manag**er**, you own and grow customer relationships by delivering consistent service excellence and aligning customer needs with Expeditors’ global network.
- You serve as the primary contact for your accounts, driving retention, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring strong operational and commercial alignment.
- Set clear expectations and hold teams accountable for customer outcomes, revenue targets, and service excellence.
- Build and lead a team of Global Account Managers with deep customer knowledge and strategic planning skills.
- Ensure teams are aligned with customer goals, proactively identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and expand services.
- Lead efforts to generate new revenue, diversify existing streams, and retain business through thoughtful engagement.
- Personally manage one strategic global account to stay connected to customer needs and model leadership behaviors.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align account strategies with company goals.
- Champion the Expeditors experience by delivering our value proposition and reinforcing service, integrity, and operational excellence.
- Support regional and global initiatives that drive strategic growth.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, one-on-ones, and annual performance reviews, fostering a culture of mentorship and continuous development.
Qualifications
- Proven success in global account management, including direct ownership of complex, high-value customer relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of developing and inspiring teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive revenue growth in a global, matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- 10+ years of supply chain or related industry experience, with 5+ years in account management.
- Willingness to travel globally as needed
