Travel Requirement

Position Overview

Senior Accountant

Financial Accounting & Closing

• Maintain and manage the
• general ledger
• , ensuring accuracy of all financial entries
• Execute
• monthly closing procedures
• , including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
• Prepare
• financial statements
• (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with supporting schedules
• Perform
• bank reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and ledger balancing
• Ensure all accounting records are properly documented and audit-ready

Revenue Control & POS Reconciliation

• Perform daily reconciliation between:
• **POS systems**
• Cash collections
• Bank deposits
• Online delivery platforms (aggregators)
• Ensure proper mapping of revenue streams into the accounting system
• Identify and investigate discrepancies between POS reports and financial records
• Validate discounts, voids, refunds, and promotional entries

Cost Control & Inventory Management

• Monitor and analyse
• food cost and beverage cost
• against standard ratios
• Maintain accurate
• inventory accounting
• (receipts, transfers, consumption, wastage)
• Conduct
• stock reconciliation and variance analysis
• Work closely with operations to control cost leakage and inefficiencies

Accounts Payable / Receivable

• Verify and process
• supplier invoices
• in line with purchase orders and delivery notes
• Maintain
• vendor ledger accuracy and reconciliation
• Prepare
• payment runs and cash planning schedules
• Monitor
• receivables, collections, and credit exposure

Audit & Compliance

• Support internal and external audit processes
• Perform
• periodic financial checks at the Ras Al Khaimah branch locations
• Ensure compliance with
• UAE VAT regulations
• , including proper documentation and reporting support
• Maintain a structured filing system for all financial transactions

Systems & Process Control

• Ensure proper integration between:
• POS systems
• Inventory systems
• Accounting software
• Monitor data accuracy across systems and resolve inconsistencies
• Support the implementation and improvement of accounting and reporting processes

Qualifications & Technical Requirements

• **Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (mandatory)**
• Professional certifications preferred:
• **ACCA (partly or fully qualified)**
• **CPA / CMA (advantage)**
• Minimum
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• , including:
• At least
• 2–3 years in restaurant or hospitality accounting

Systems Knowledge (Mandatory)

• Strong working knowledge of:
• **POS Systems**
• (such as Oracle Micros, Foodics, Toast, or similar)
• **Accounting Software**

(e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Zoho Books)

• **Inventory Management Systems**

• Microsoft Excel:
• Advanced level (pivot tables, reconciliations, data analysis)
• Ability to:
• Reconcile data across multiple systems
• Understand system-generated reports and validate accuracy
• Identify gaps between operational systems and accounting records
