Account Executive

Role overview

Inventory and stock accounting

• Maintain inventory and stock records; monitor movements, purchases, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
• Reconcile physical inventory with accounting records, conduct stock checks, investigate discrepancies, and document transactions.
• Coordinate with relevant departments on stock levels and requirements.

Rental accounting

• Maintain rental agreements and financial records, prepare rental invoices, and monitor rental receivables and income.
• Follow up on overdue rental payments and record deposits, collections, and adjustments.
• Reconcile rental accounts regularly.

Collections and banking

• Monitor receivables, follow up with customers or tenants, allocate payments, and prepare collection and ageing reports.
• Identify overdue balances, escalate long-outstanding amounts, and maintain collection records.
• Record daily banking transactions; prepare reconciliations, verify bank statements, investigate discrepancies, and assist with cheques and deposits.

General accounting

• Maintain accounting records and supporting documents; prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end closing, regular financial and management reports, and timely posting of transactions.
• Support management accounting requests and comply with company policies and accounting procedures.

Qualifications and experience

• B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) or equivalent is the minimum qualification.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in a similar accounting role with a trading company.
• Practical experience in inventory handling, rental accounting, collections, receivables, and bank transactions is essential.
• Experience in a UAE-based organization is an advantage.

Knowledge and competencies

• Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices; strong Excel and computer skills; experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Good communication and follow-up skills, attention to detail, accuracy, independent working, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Other stated competencies include numerical ability, organization, accountability, integrity, problem-solving, confidentiality, time management, and teamwork.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 4,000–5,000 per month.
