The role
Account Director leading strategic communications within Abu Dhabi government work, with a focus on technology and artificial intelligence.
The role coordinates multi-agency teams and media engagement in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.

Communications and media
- Develop and execute communications for technology and AI sectors in alignment with organizational goals.
- Build relationships with local, regional, and international technology media and manage strategic media engagements.
- Create thought leadership content, including white papers, opinion pieces, and keynote speeches for industry events.
- Manage external technology PR, digital marketing, and branding agencies to align messaging across platforms.
Content, brand, and performance
- Oversee English and Arabic press releases, speeches, presentations, and other communications materials focused on technology and AI.
- Ensure brand identity reflects leadership in technology and AI across communications channels and campaigns.
- Lead crisis communications to protect and enhance the organization's reputation in the technology industry.
- Track campaign effectiveness, provide regular reports, and recommend improvements using relevant technology-sector metrics.
Experience and expertise
- 10+ years of communications agency or in-house experience focused on technology, AI, or innovation-driven industries.
- Strong understanding of local and regional technology and AI landscapes, with established industry relationships.
- Proven ability to develop and execute communications strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Ability to manage cross-functional collaborations, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
Writing, language, and tools
- Exceptional writing and storytelling, including accurate first drafts and clear narratives from complex information.
- Expert command of grammar and AP style.
- Fluent English is required; Arabic is a plus.
- Proficiency with communication tools, media monitoring platforms, and project management software is required; familiarity with AI content and analytics tools is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- A master’s degree or certifications in technology or AI-related fields are a plus.
