Role overview

The role is an Access Control System Technician position focused on technical installation, configuration, maintenance, and commissioning.

Technical duties

  • Install, configure, and maintain access control systems.
  • Program panels, commission systems, and integrate them with CCTV, BMS, and fire alarm systems.
  • Terminate and test CAT6, RS-485, and power cables; troubleshoot hardware, software, and communication faults.
  • Use system software for user management, access levels, time schedules, and reports.
  • Read shop drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics; perform site testing and support client handover.

Technical skills

  • Experience with card readers, fingerprint or face biometric devices, keypads, and controllers.
  • Knowledge of magnetic locks, electric strikes, door contacts, and exit buttons.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, LAN connections, and IP-based controllers.

Work arrangement

  • Work location is in person.

Pay and employment

  • Job type is full-time.
  • Pay starts at QAR 2,500 per month.
