Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting (AIJRF) is a global academic and applied think tank founded in 2018, specializing in media studies, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies of the Fourth and Fifth Industrial Revolutions. Based in Dubai, AIJRF focuses on three main pillars: conducting innovative research and education in areas like AI Journalism, Media of the Metaverse, and 7G Journalism; developing AI-driven tools and solutions for industries such as media, education, and healthcare; and advancing Dynamic Human Skills (DHS) necessary for adapting to future technological and industrial challenges. AIJRF is at the forefront of exploring how AI and Metaverse technologies transform knowledge creation and dissemination worldwide.
Role Description
This is a contract Academic Consultant role with AIJRF based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
It is a hybrid position, allowing for a combination of on-site and remote work.
The Academic Consultant will be responsible for conducting and overseeing research in AI Journalism and related fields, developing educational curricula and training materials, providing strategic consulting on research projects, and collaborating with universities and institutions.
They will also contribute to AIJRF’s innovation efforts by ideating and guiding the design of tools and applications that integrate AI technologies into education, media, and various industries.
Additionally, the consultant will provide recommendations to support skills development aligned with future industrial transformations.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Academic Research and Curriculum Development related to AI Journalism, Media of the Metaverse, or advanced industrial technologies.
- Experience in designing and executing innovative tools and solutions that utilize AI in fields like education, media, and healthcare.
- Exceptional Strategic Consulting, Forecasting, and Analytical Thinking skills for future-oriented projects.
- Advanced Presentation, Writing, Communication, and Thought Leadership abilities to engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies, such as AI, Metaverse, and 7G applications, and their implications for industries.
- Proficiency in collaborating with academic institutions, private sector entities, and government agencies.
- PhD or advanced degree in a relevant field such as Media Studies, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Technologies, or Education preferred.
- Strong adaptability to a hybrid work model and flexibility to travel locally as required.
