Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site AC/Chiller Technician role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The AC/Chiller Technician will install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and chiller systems in residential and mixed-use facilities, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Day-to-day tasks include performing diagnostic checks, identifying and resolving faults, conducting routine preventive maintenance, and responding to service requests in a timely manner.
The role involves monitoring system performance, adjusting controls and settings, and maintaining accurate service records and reports.
The technician will collaborate with supervisors and other trades, follow health and safety procedures, and support compliance with relevant technical and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills for AC and chiller systems, including fault finding, diagnostics, and problem resolution.
- Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance for HVAC equipment, including inspection, cleaning, and component replacement.
- Working knowledge of electricity related to HVAC systems, including control wiring, motors, and safe electrical practices.
- Basic plumbing skills relevant to chiller/AC systems, such as piping, valves, and condensate drainage.
- Familiarity with EPA or equivalent environmental and refrigerant handling regulations and safe refrigerant management practices.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in HVAC/R or Mechanical/Electrical field.
- Proven experience as an AC/Chiller Technician in facilities management or building services environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and OEM documentation.
- Strong adherence to safety standards, with the ability to use appropriate PPE and follow site procedures.
- Good communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and flexibility to work shifts or on-call as required.
