A Level Biology Teacher
to join our Science Department in August 2026.

As we expand our Key Stage 5 provision, we are seeking a subject specialist capable of delivering a rigorous and engaging A Level Biology curriculum that prepares students for top-tier university entrance.

The Role: Professional Expectations
- As an A Level specialist, you will be expected to:
- Deliver high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4 (GCSE), and KS5 (A Level) Biology.
- Prepare students for practical endorsements and advanced theoretical examinations.
- Foster a passion for life sciences and support students in their transition to higher education.
- Contribute to the wider Science Department and the school's extra-curricular "Flourish" programme.

Skills
- Successful candidates will:
- Embody and role model our core values of Grow, Flourish, and Mindfulness
- Hold a Bachelor of Education or a Bachelor’s degree with PGCE / PGDE (or equivalent qualification)
- Have proven experience teaching Science/Biology to GCSE level
- Demonstrate exemplary teaching practice and a passion for continuous improvement
- Bring a creative and enthusiastic approach to both classroom and wider school life
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work closely with colleagues, students, and parents
- Have a proven track record of delivering outstanding learning and teaching
- Be eager to make a positive contribution to our school community through active engagement in extra-curricular and community-based initiatives
- GEMS Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its students and staff.
- A UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check is a pre-requisite for all appointments.
