Ultratec 3D Printing is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented 3D Printing Operator/Technician for its production team.
The role involves preparing 3D files, operating printers, and managing daily production activities.
Responsibilities
- Review, repair, optimize, and split 3D models into printable parts based on printer capabilities and production requirements.
- Use slicing software to optimize print orientation, supports, and settings for print quality and efficiency.
- Set up, operate, and monitor multiple 3D printers; perform routine maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting.
- Organize printing schedules, maintain production sheets, track progress, and manage digital files.
- Inspect printed components, identify defects, reduce material waste and production failures, and suggest workflow improvements.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience operating FDM, SLA, or SLS printers.
- Good knowledge of slicing software such as Bambu Studio or similar.
- Experience with 3D model repair, mesh editing, splitting, and preparation for 3D printing.
- Familiarity with Blender, Meshmixer, Fusion 360, ZBrush, or similar software is advantageous.
- Understanding of printing materials, machine settings, and troubleshooting.
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple printing jobs; able to work independently and meet production deadlines.
