On-site internship in Dubai supporting the design team with 3D models for prototypes, display pieces, and mechanical components.
The intern will prepare models for printing and work with engineers and technicians on printability and structural integrity.
Responsibilities
- Create and refine models to client specifications and translate design concepts into accurate digital models.
- Prepare files for 3D printing and collaborate with engineers and technicians to check printability and structural integrity.
- Review printed parts, make iterative design adjustments, and document changes.
- Learn company workflows, adhere to quality standards, and contribute to timely project delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong 3D modeling skills with CAD or 3D design tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, Blender, or similar.
- Basic understanding of 3D printing technologies, materials, and design-for-additive-manufacturing principles.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, sketches, and client briefs and produce accurate 3D models.
- Attention to detail in geometry, surface quality, and file preparation for printing and post-processing.
- Problem-solving skills and willingness to iterate based on feedback and print results.
- Communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, designers, and production staff on-site.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Rendering, visualization, or basic animation familiarity is a plus; interest in learning advanced 3D printing workflows is desired.
