Internship overview

Role activities

• Learn about middle market banking products and services, including loans, deposits, treasury management, interest rate products, capital markets, wealth management, and fee-income business.
• Explore credit frameworks and analysis, prospecting for new clients, and expanding existing relationships.
• Work on assigned research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, and technology enhancement assessment or support.
• Complete a business-aligned project to improve a process or solve a problem and present it to local leaders and stakeholders.
• Attend professional development, informational, networking, and community service events; prepare a wrap-up presentation on internship accomplishments.

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of experience.
• Enrollment at an accredited collegiate institution during the summer program.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for the program duration.
• Adaptability, written and verbal communication, and critical thinking skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Finance or business major; accounting coursework; and experience with financial statements or analysis.
• Rising college senior and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
• Desire to learn and grow, positive attitude, curiosity, collaboration, multitasking, ability to take direction, and ability to absorb information quickly.

Compensation

• Base pay is generally $18.50–$30.06 per hour; actual pay depends on skills, experience, location, and other permitted factors.
