Programme and business

The Global Markets Graduate Programme places participants on a specific desk to develop expertise and contribute from the outset.

Global Markets provides investment, hedging, and financing solutions across asset classes and geographies, along with research and market intelligence.

Business areas described include Global Credit, Global Equities, and Global Macro.

What you will do

  • Execute trades and manage short-term risk.
  • Analyse opportunities and produce research and market analysis to support trading activities.
  • Develop trading reports and evaluate trading strategies and their appropriateness for customers.
  • Prepare market commentary and analysis for internal and external distribution.
  • Develop modelling tools for market analysis.

Candidate requirements

  • Be completing a degree course in 2026 or have graduated within the previous two years.
  • Have a bachelor's degree with a minimum 2:1 or equivalent.
  • Bring a keen interest in and basic understanding of capital markets.
  • Be proficient with MS Office, including Excel; additional computer skills or coding are advantageous.
  • Have excellent spoken and written English; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Previous internship or work experience is required.
  • Finance, economics, or engineering background is not a requirement.
