IT Procurement Specialist role focused on IT procurement and related procurement processes.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Business, or a diploma with relevant supply chain and procurement courses.
- At least 8 years of experience in IT procurement or a similar role.
- Oil and gas industry experience, particularly in IT procurement, is listed.
- Procurement or supply chain management certification such as CIPS or CPSM is preferred.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts is required.
- Knowledge of procurement practices, contract management, supply chain processes, and IT infrastructure and systems is required.
- Strong negotiation, communication, organization, time management, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills are required.
- Proficiency with procurement software and knowledge of IT equipment, software, and services are required.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for IT equipment, software, and services.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Apply procurement processes and best practices, including contract management and supply chain procedures.
- Analyze and interpret data to support informed procurement decisions.
