Skills

6 to 10+ years in software development, with 4+ years of hands-on Avaloq experience. Strong working knowledge of the Avaloq securities trading module, covering order management, execution, STEX and settlement. Practical experience with order pooling or aggregation, allocation and settlement netting in a securities environment. Proficiency in PL/SQL and the Avaloq development stack (Avaloq Script/AvqScript, Avaloq Workbench, Oracle). Solid understanding of the securities lifecycle: pre-trade, trade, post-trade, clearing, settlement, corporate actions and reconciliation. Experience with ISO 20022 and SWIFT messaging (MT/MX) and, ideally, FIX connectivity. Familiarity with the product range, including equities, bonds, funds, FX and OTC derivatives. Strong analytical and debugging skills, with experience of performance tuning in high-volume batch and real-time environments. Experience working in Agile/DevOps teams using tools such as Jira, Git and CI/CD pipelines. Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work with distributed teams across time zones.
