Overview

  • We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join a private household team. The successful candidate will maintain a clean, organized and welcoming home environment for family members and guests. This role requires excellent attention to detail, discretion, a professional manner and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small household team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily cleaning duties throughout the residence to a high standard, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing surfaces and furniture, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and maintaining presentation of living areas and guest rooms.
  • Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks such as oven and refrigerator cleaning, window and blind cleaning, carpet and upholstery care, and scheduled spring/deep cleans.
  • Prepare and turnover bedrooms for household members and guests: make beds to presentation standards, change and launder bed linens, and ensure wardrobes and drawers are neat and organized.
  • Handle laundry tasks as required, including washing, drying, ironing, folding and careful storage of linens and everyday garments; escalate specialist garment care to the Laundry In Charge or external providers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of utility and storage areas; ensure cleaning supplies and household consumables are appropriately stocked and stored, and report items that require replenishment or replacement.
  • Follow household cleaning schedules and checklists; record completed tasks and report any maintenance issues, damages or safety concerns to the housekeeping manager or head of household.
  • Adhere to correct use and safe storage of cleaning products and equipment, following health and safety guidance and household protocols for chemical handling.
  • Assist with event preparation and post‑event cleaning, including setting up or clearing away furniture, polishing tableware and managing waste removal as required.
  • Work with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times; present a polite, calm and helpful manner when interacting with household members, guests and external contractors.
  • Undertake additional reasonable duties related to household upkeep as requested to support smooth daily operations.
