Yard Team Member

Contract: Temporary Hours: Part-time Hours of Work: 20 Hours per week As a Yard Team Member, you’ll play a key role in stock handling, customer service, and maintaining high standards across external areas. You’ll support the Stock Supervisor and wider team to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for everyone who visits the store. Key responsibilities include: • Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard • Receiving, checking, and loading stock accurately and efficiently • Supporting Point of Sale operations when required • Maintaining external areas to a high standard of presentation • Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting seasonal stock reviews • Participating in stocktaking and maintaining stock file integrity • Following health & safety procedures and UFAS regulations

• Experience in a yard, warehouse, or retail environment (preferred) • Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings (beneficial) • A forklift truck licence (advantageous) • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately • Good IT skills and confidence using systems • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks • Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards • You’ll be friendly, self-motivated, and adaptable, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and working as part of a team.
